Description :They are native to arid regions in south-western Africa such as the Namib Desert. They are social and affectionate; the name comes from the parrots' strong, monogamous pair bonding and the long periods which paired birds spend sitting together. Lovebirds live in small flocks and eat fruit, vegetables, grasses, and seeds. They eat throughout the day and take frequent baths. Plumage is identical in males and females. Lovebirds are renowned for their sleep position in which they sit side-by-side and turn their faces in towards each other. They are common in the pet industry.
