
Description :Golden jackal is a medium sized member of the dog family, a wolf-like canid that is native to Southeast Europe, Southwest Asia, South Asia, and regions of Southeast Asia. It is a nocturnal mammal. Jackals are omnivorous and opportunistic forager with a diet that varies according to its habitat and the season. They like to eat snakes and other reptiles, birds, sheep, insects, fruits, berries and whatever available. Jackal scavenges off the kills made by the lion, tiger, leopard, dhole, and grey wolf. They can survive for 8 to 9 years in the wild.
