  Description :Indian spotted chevrotain  or mouse-deer, are small even-toed ungulates, native to India and possibly Nepal. Chevrotains are the smallest hoofed mammals in the world.  It lives in rainforests and is nocturnal. They are solitary or live in pairs. They feed exclusively on plant material. They give birth to only a single young. The young are weaned at three months of age.
